The owner of this beautiful property overlooking Lake Kegonsa in Stoughton, WI wanted a boathouse that would not only be functional for housing and storing a boat, but also not restrict their views to the lake from their residence above. Frameless glass railings became the solution to offer the sweeping views out to the lake the owner was looking for. The railings are mounted to the top outside edge of the boathouse on three of the perimeter sides, which allowed the bottom channel that holds the glass in place to be completely out of site from the top deck of the boathouse and also the residence above. Poured-in-place concrete walls support a precast roof above with a sloped concrete topping for water drainage and epoxy covering for a weatherproof, easy to clean deck surface.
